Tiroler Festspiele Erl
(Design Concept)

Client: Tiroler Festspiele Erl
Agency: Scholz & Friends Vienna
Role: Concept, Branding

2023

With a tradition spanning more than 400 years, the Tiroler Festspiele Erl hold a unique place in Austria’s cultural landscape. The goal of this concept was to help sharpen the concert hall’s profile and bring it back into stronger focus—positioning it as a contemporary cultural destination while staying true to the classical heritage at its core.

My design direction translates the world of classical music into a visual system: inspired by notation, rhythm, and the logic of a musician’s score: playful yet structured, creating an identity that feels alive, dynamic, and unmistakably rooted in music.

This was developed as a first design concept; the client ultimately chose a different direction which can be found on the Scholz & Friends website linked below.

Across tickets, flyers, posters, and digital ads, the logo becomes the main graphic device—scaled, cropped, and repeated like a visual motif, making every asset instantly recognizable while leaving room for clear information.
